Small ulu made from a table saw blade. Whitetail deer antler handle with copper pins.

Uluiette (plural of ulu) are the native knife of the north. Traditionally a native knife from the Northwestern US, Canada, and Alaska, the ulu is a food prep knife that does everything from slicing to chopping, scraping hide to filleting fish and everything in between. It's also the best piza cutter you will ever own and will be a lovely addition to your kitchen.

The blade is carbon steel, so it can rust. hand wash and hand dry before storing. The blade will naturally patina, or grey, with use. This is a good thing. The patina is a surface reaction that creates a layer of protections against rust and pitting. Some foods, such as onions and potatoes, speed this reaction.
